XP Repair install

Hey guys, Im trying to do a repair install on a drive that is "missing a PCI driver" or something to that effect. As soon as I boot, Im am given that message before XP loads. It gives instructions to "repair from the installation CD"

Okay, so I get out my XP CD and do a repair install. I boot from the XP CD, and get past the setup. It comes to a black screen that asks for an "Adminisrator Password". This computer has never had any passwords of any kind of it - I have it set up so passwords are not even required to log onto a user.

What do I do? I can't Do a fresh XP install over it - I have way to much information that isnt backed up. I also do not have another computer to hookthis drive up to and grab the information I need.

Is there a genaric password or anything to do with repair install?

EDIT: nevermind - I found the answer searching through some of the posts here. Apparently, Windows give you two opprotunities to do a "repair install". You bypass the first, and take the second opprotunity by selecting the option "To setup Windows XP now, press ENTER.". Seems kind of condradictory and confusing to me...

Thanks

Yeah, TimPoet, it worked fine. Although, for some odd reason, I had to reinstall the sound driver (and only the sound driver). Eveything else looks as though it was before.
