Registry handle warning

I'm relatively new to win2k, but in the short time I've used it, I really like it. Recently I began to get a warning as I come through the last part of the boot that says "Warning Failed to open Registry handle in ATIPoll". Then it goes away and everything seems to work great. Can anyone help me to repair the problem that generates this warning? Thanks.

I offer my profound sympathy to those who have lost loved ones and friends in this national tragedy.

If your Display adapter is a ATI you might try to verify the drivers for it.

Display Adapter: Rage Fury Pro/Xpert 2000 pro

It is the correct display adapter installed from the ATI install disk for win2k.

ATI is supported under win2k - try to let it use it own drivers - it's not necessarily that the ATI drivers work.

If it did before then reinstalling will cure the problem because sometimes drivers get corrupt for what ever reason it might be.

That took care of the problem. I installed the win2k driver, then installed the update from Microsoft and all is well, thanks.
