XP Pro or MCE

I just finished my first build and have the choice of installing XP Pro or MCE 2005 as I have uninstalled licenses of each. From what I have read in older threads, I'd go with XP Pro which is what I manage on 10 other computers at work.

This new build is a box at home intended for light gaming, surfing, image editing, home movie burning. (Core 2 Duo/7600GT). I've already got TiVo but might want another option for a PVR so was going to add on a Tuner card at some point.

Way I see it, MCE is not required to do any of this. Just enables the PVRing but there are other software option to install onto a more stable platform that XP Pro would be???

Question is: Just want to verify that given the above needs, you would still install XP Pro.

MCE 2005 is no less stable than Pro, it's just Home with Media Center. Looks and acts just like Home till you open Media Center.
