Can't log out a user in XP Home
I have an unusual question regarding XP Home edition. I just loaded XP onto a new PC build and have found that I can log in and log out as a user without a problem. However, when my wife logs in she cannot log out. When she clicks the log off button nothing happens. She has to click on "switch user" to get to the user log in screen. Anyone know why this may be happening ?

Not positive this is the answer but take a look anyway.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/837115/en-us "CAUSE This issue may occur if Microsoft Windows or third-party programs such as printer drivers or virus scanners do not stop and release resources when you log off your computer." Might be a good idea to see what items are running using msconfig. |
