What kind of computer is this? Home built or name brand?

What are the complete system specs?

Did the computer always do this or did it just start?

If it just started happening, what did you do to the computer just before this happened?

Can you boot right into Safe Mode or does the same thing happen?

It started this a while ago so I reinstalled windows on a brand new HD and it worked fine and just today it started this again. No safemode doesn't go faster I am stuck on the screen with Intel on it this is before you can hit delete to go into cmos setup.

I have a P4 3.2 HT computer it is a Medion with an added PCI express 128 mb Video.

hmmm...how long has this been going on?
What OS?

Do you have a boot disc?

You could try a repair with the xp cd (that is if u have xp)

If you have a boot disc, boot it up and see if u can do a system restore.
or run some virus scans or ad-aware programs.

This is what i would try to do, havn't heard of a problem like yours before. Interested to see how this problem becomes fixed.

Thank you for returning to this thread and letting us know you found the cause of the problem and was able to fix it. We really appreciate it.

Out of curiosity, what brand was the motherboard?

I think most Medions use MSI boards with SiS chipsets. Last one I worked on did, and it had bad caps. Replaced it with an Asus P4P800-VM and it worked great.
