Annoying error messages

I uninstalled a dodgy program from my computer and it appears to have messed it up, apart from trying to upload trojans, ever since then I keep getting 5 or 6 error messages as windows starts up.
Words to the effect of "Windows cannot locate the file '/files1' in the registry, please search for this file to make sure of its location"

I don't know how to stop this from happening, any suggestions?

Have you run a registry cleaner such as CCleaner? Sounds like I'd also do a full system AV scan, AdAware, and Spybot, etc...

Have you tried CCleaner? There can also be files hidden in win.ini and other places, too (can't remember off had if CCleaner finds those also).

You have to either edit the registry or re-enable it and remove the entry with HijackThis.
