Mirrored volume shows up with asterisk

Hello all,
Ive get a windows 2003 server with mirrored hard drives.

In computer management the volume (c shows up fine, but disk 0 shows up with an asterisk and the option to re-active (even though its online) and disk 1 shows up with the option to reactive and its also online and doesnt have an asterisk.

i clicked reactivate on disk 0, now the valume says its resynching and has no percentage.

if I click on either disk and click open, i get teh same data, so both drives are obviously still mirrored, i even tried adding a new file and it did appear on both drives, they are still linked...

anyone know whats going on?
