Is it OEM or Retail? how do you know

I just bought a used computer and wanted to know if there is way I can find out if the XP home version is retail or oem. My neighbor that sold it to me has no idea, it is a custom built one. Is there some where in the harddrive ,ect. that gives the information about the operating system and if there is what would it say, thanks.

Right Click My Computer > Properties. The registration should include "OEM" somewhere in the key if you have an OEM OS.
