Question Remote Shutdown

I run Windows XP Home edition, although if I absolutely must, I can install Windows XP Professional. I need to remotely shutdown a computer on my network from my computer. I cannot install Windows XP Professional on that computer. How can I go about doing this?

Thanks.

I suggest using a third party remote desktop application such as VNC or RemotelyAnywhere.
There are many free remote desktop programs out there, and the reason they are free is because they have no encryption in them... So if using this locally, and security isnt an issue, they are just fine. But I would strongly be against using it accross the internet.

Good Luck.
