Surprise, it's smarter then I expected?

HI

I came down stairs this morning and started setting all my clocks ahead.
Finally I got to my computer and to my surprise it had done so already.

After hearing all the stuff in the media I thought that I would have to do it manually.
Especially since I don't have the “synchronize with internet” time box checked (this never works on my computer for some reason, if I hit the “synchronize now” button I always get and error, even after reinstalling Window, for other reasons).

So how did it know to update 3 weeks early?

Mike

I was very pleasantly surprised this morning - I have a Timex radio controlled watch that's about 3 years old. It switched last night and the DST icon is lit up. My cell phone updated itself too. I had to patch my Win2K computer last week and that worked. I did a package manager update on the Linux box last week and it updated itself too. The only manual adjustments so far are the microwave and the clock radio. Right now I'm trying to do an auto date/time scan on my VCR and it's going nowhere fast, it's not finding the PBS signal.
