removing program
Not sure if this is the right place to post this. I am having a problem with the adobe reader program. I tried to install the latest version. The new program says that it cannot install because it cannot uninstall the old version. I went into add/remove programs and tried to uninstall it but it comes back with an error message saying that the patch to the software won't work. How do I get rid of this program so that I can load in the new one? Thanks

Maybe try going into Program Files, finding the folder, and looking in it for the uninstall program and try it like that? If that doesn't work, as a last resort, delete the folder and the start menu programs. It's not like it wont unistall because it's a virus but thats a weird error you're receiving.

Just deleting the folder is going to cause registry issues - be careful.
