Slipstreaming

What is "slipstreaming windows"? It has something to do with installing SP2 to an older copy of WinXP. Can I use this to transfer OS from one drive to another?

You dont need any slipstreaming to get SP2 on any windows XP machine. You just download it from microsoft. Slipstreaming is about the same thing as those recovery dics you get from manufacturers.

Unless you are on dial-up, which makes downloading SP2 a major chore.

You can also get the SP2 disk free for the asking from Microsoft.

Slipstreaming means to burn a new Windows CD that includes the Service Packs, instead of installing Windows and then needing to download them later.

Here is a guide: http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1626
