Reinstall Problems- Help

I had my MOBO go bad on my PC (the one in my signature) and I sent it out to Asus and they actually sent me a new one pretty quickly. Problem is I had a Raid 0 set up and I couldn't just hook the new board up and be good to go. Apparently I screwed up something....so anyhow I am wiping the drives and starting over.
Now the problem....I wiped the Raid using DBAN and then configured the raid again in the PRE OS and then began to install windows XP. During the installation after it loads a bunch of stuff off the CD ROM it then asks be to PUt in the XP install Disk although it is already in the drive. Yes thats right for some reason it loses the CDROM it was just using and I can't figure out wth is going on. Any help on this would be appreciated....just FYI I tried a differnt CDROM and the result was the same....Anybody got a clue on this one?

Bump....please anyone....yeah I know is a weird issue

It asks for the disk and says windows can't find the I386 files even though they are on the disk that is in the drive. I tried opening the drive and closing it again to see what happened and the little green light doesn't even come on like it is trying to read the disk.

assuming the install disk isn't bad,

is it possible you have to install SCSI and RAID controller drivers during the beginning of the XP install (F6 to install 3rd party drivers ) ?

The driver CD for the motherboard will have the drivers on it, but i seem to recall having to load them from a floppy....

not much

good luck
