computer closes certain folders immediately upon opening...

ive been looking around the internet a bit and i guess all teh data can be found in a dump file which i just converted to a log, but i downloaded a TV series and now the folder wont open, everytime i open it it says Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

any ideas as to why only certain folders would do this?
