nLite and multiple drivers

Hi all,

I'm using nLite to slipstream the now 70+ updates into my Windows XP installation. Another feature of nLite is to slipstream device drivers. I have multiple model PCs that I might try this slipstreamed XP CD on, and was wondering if adding drivers for all of the models onto that one CD would be fine, even though each model has different hardware? Would it only install the drivers needed, and if not, will having drivers installed for non-existent hardware cause problems?

Thanks.

You could proably do that. When the computer needs to search for drivers, it will look on the disc for the only the one it needs. It wouldn't worry about the others on there.

You might want to be careful on which device drivers you add though. Video card drivers are easily downloaded and change often. But for older hardware support, that would be good to have on CD.
