user logon screen

I know this has probably been discussed but i did a search adn couldnt find it and dont have time to dig.
You know when you leave the computer for an extend period of time and the "log on" screen appears when you touch your mouse? How do you get rid of that and still keep the users. I have a user that is for quickbooks that never gets opened but is used by my wifes computer so she can access the data file for Qbooks so it has to be there?

Wouldnt even know what to ask for. thats why im in here asking a "human" what to do, I never have any luck with Knowledge bases.

Could it be a screen saver with password protection turned on?

that wasnt it but on the "desktop properties" on the screen saver tab there is a box to uncheck that says something about the welcome screen.
going to try that
