Get the patch:

The Realtek HD Audio Control Panel may not start, and you receive an error message when you start the computer: "Illegal System DLL Relocation"

Updates and system date and time problem

I had to correct the system date which was year 2000 in order to perform the first updates and activation. Then when I went back to Updates I get an error message saying that the system date and time are wrong. The date and time are correct. It must have something to do with the first halt I received for the first three updates after which I did change the system date and time.
Now I cannot go past this error even though the date and time are correct. Is there some registry key needing to be changed or how can I convice XP that these values have been changed?
thanks,
Alan
