Question Windows XP OEM Software

Can OEM software be used on more than one computer at the same time? I ordered Windows XP Home OEM SP2b software, and it came with a piece of hardware that I am not sure what to do with. Do I have to install that hardware in whatever computer I load the software on or is it there just in case I need it? Can the software be loaded more than once on different PC's or is it only for one PC?

Thanks in advance!

Read the license agreement, it is legall for one PC only, and the random piece of hardware was to satisfy the sellers agreement to legally be able to sell you the OEM version. I'm not sure about the OEM version but I know with regular full version of Windows, if you already have 1 legal CD copy and you want to legally have windows on another PC all you have to do is purchase another license, which will have a different key code and thus will activate for U with no problem.

It's cheaper to buy a second OEM copy than an addtional license.

Question Piece of hardware

Do I need to install this piece of hardware in the PC I am installing the Software in? If so, where does it need to go, or does it just go with the software?

In a word, no.
The hardware was supplied to you in order to satisfy the licence agreement that states you must purchase a piece of hardware to qualify your self to be able to buy XP OEM, there is nothing in the licence agreement that says you have to use it.
