multiple problems

I am not sure what had happend, but here goes in order.
1. I open winamp to play a song, then when winamp opens, the n it shutdows of error. When I reclick to open the mp3, it works, but then I notice all media files have been programmed to open with winamp on default.

2. I have microsoft intelitype installed months ago no probs there. Then within this week, I get few errors. First, I have to allow it to connect to the internet-sygate personal firewall, if not mozilla does not connect, but IE can. Second, my hotkeys are back to default. When I log into the pc, I notice that there is error popup box.
"setupstb.exe - Entry Point Not Found.
The procedure entry point HidD_SetFeature could not be located in the dynamic link library HID.DLL"
I try to reinstall the program but everytime I get the above message, even open the program I get that message as well.

3. I have lots of programs installed, and till a month ago I am not sure, but not in this current week, I noticed that a lot of programs are missing from the "add and remove programs" in the control panel. Programs like trilian, epromter, photoshop, acrobat reader, pc diagnostics, winrar, winamp are all gone. Only programs which I installed in this week, including AVG update, microsoft net2.0, java, and powertools which are installed quite long ago remain. I don't know why this happens.

I am not sure what is going on, maybe I should cleaninstall?

I'd say clean install. Backup any important files that are left and just reinstall. It
s recommended you clean install every 6 months.
