splat raspppoe.sys problem

Thought I would try a different forum. This is my beef.

I am running OEM XP.

It happens at random. At times it will go for a day or two before seeing this death screen.

I get a blue screen stating that it can't write to a read only file: raspppoe.sys.

Then I have to reset the computer. The computer had a couple of viruses, I would imagine that the file got corrupted.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
