Turning off reminder about auto updates

Does anyone know if there is a way in XP to turn off those annoying reminders after booting up telling you that "Automatic Updates is turned off and click here to correct this". I like to do this at my convenience when I have the PC online.

i think thats part of the security centre feature with SP2. If you type in services.msc in the run command and disable the security centre service it should stop these messages.
