What do I buy for small business server and CAL's?
I'm trying to figure out how to buy Windows small business server standard and 11 CAL's. Are these the right ones?
SBS server http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16832116131 CAL's http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16832102517 I'm planning on using as user and not device CAL's. |

It looks as though you have it right, but what you have listed will only give you 10 User CALS. You'll have to buy another 5 pack to get the 11 you need, for a total of 15. Are you going to have 11 workstations using the server simultaniously? If not the # of CALS is only needed for simultaious connections to the server.
P.S. 2003 SBS will not deny more connections than you have registered CALS. Good Luck |

Surfmaster, why would SBS 2003 allow more connections than CAL's? I thought that was the purpose of licensing the CAL's? Why buy CAL's at all then? Just curious
