Old icons & mismatched icons in my files - plz Help

I had installed latest current QuickTime with iTunes (in old HD) and all my music files have turned to default itunes icons….
Now iTunes is no longer in my current New HD (Transferred the data), but still it shows icons of itunes but when I click to play it plays on Windows media player as I selected frm open the program options…so how to solve this… how to again restore the icons to currenttly used media player?

Also, I used MS 2003, now when I upgraded to office 2007, the old files still shows old Office (MS word,MS PowerPoint) file icons, how to change them to new 2007 icons?

OS: XP Pro SP2

Is Itunes uninstalled from the add/remove programs menu?

If not, do so and run ccleaner afterward. You should have your media player icons back.

You can also right click on any of the Itunes icons, select open with, choose program, select WMP from the list and check the box that says "always use the selected program to open this type of file".

Kev's suggestion on associating the files with the program you want should do it.

You can also grab TweakUI here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx and try its Icon Repair function.

craig_4u, did you try to "open with" etc as in my previous suggestion?

If not, try it...
