Fast User Switching
I run WinXPsp2. Since I installed it 2 years ago, I have had 2 users and had no problem switching users without logging off.
A few months ago, we started having to log off, and log back on to switch users. Under user accounts, if I click on "change the way users log on or off", and try to click the checkbox to enable fast user switching...it lets me check it and hit apply, but will not remain checked. It immediately unchecks itself when I try to go back into it. I've tried to find the answer on my own...to no avail. The welcome screen is enabled. I am an administrator. I have ready many threads in other forums about this issue, but not been able to find one fix. I am not part of a domain Sys specs: XPsp2 AMD64 3200 x800xl graphics card SB Audigy2 1GB ram 120 Gb HD Last edited by Brad-; 04-19-2007 at 08:49 PM. |

I got it.
Turns out for this to function, terminal services has to be enabled...and I sure as hell disabled it. |
