remove uninstalled win XP option during startup
hi guys
i installed Win XP sp2 but unfortunately it got installed in drive D. so i formatted the D rive and re installed it in C drive but not during boot i have two option for selction to boot. This is annoying and how can i get rid of it. |

It's the boot.ini file that has the line with the options of what OS to boot from. Save and rename a copy of it before you edit it though in case you mess it up, you can boot from the xp cdrom and use repair console to copy back the original file.

Safely and quickly:
Right-click my computer >> properties >> advanced >> click the startup and recovery settings button. select the install you wish to boot from from the drop down list and uncheck time to display list of operating systems. |
