disk boot failure
I just finished building by computer and I have loaded XP home on to it and it has worked fine for the last few days. I have also installed a few games with no problems (yes they are playable). today when I started my PC it did a memory check and then after that it said disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter. so i poped in my windows disk and hit enter and it did nothing. I have tryed altering the boot sequence in the bios with no change. please help. my system specs are below.
EVGA 680i mobo intel 6600 cpu (not overclocked and liquid cooled) 2 GB of ram BFG 8800 GTS OC 640 MB HDD 500 GB maxlor dvd-rom drive |

Try replacing the IDE or SATA cable to the hard drive.
Go to the Maxtor web site and download the diagnostic utility and test your hard drive with it. Cricket
