Exclamation Pc-coe

Does anyone know what Hewlet Packard and Microsoft's PC-COE v 2.6 is, does it contain any macros, and can it be safely removed without damaging Windows 2000?

Personal Computer Common Operating Environment.
When the guys at Redmond finally woke up to the fact that the internet was real this was something they were pushing ( I think they were in partnership with AOL at one point.).
That would have been late 90's so the date's right for Windows 2000.
I'm guessing you've got an old company or government computer and I don't really know what to tell you about it.
I'm moving this over to the forum Statica mods since he knows more than most.

edit : OK some more information.
Your computer was part of a company wide set up where all computers were configured to run the same apps , use the same data base in the same way and link by IE ( If they were Windows machines, there were other solutions for Sun and so on.).
I doubt it's something you can strip out of the computer but I don't know so you'll have to wait for more feed back.
