OS CD corrupt?

When I try to install XP pro as a fresh install using the setup disk set, and after partioning the drive and such, I get an error message saying that the installer cannot access the files on the cd. Whats up with that? Ive hit practically every roadblock trying to get this damn OS installed so far.

Is that a genuine MS OS CD or a burned copy?
