Vista Transformation is CRAP!!!!

I did a thing to transformation my computer to look like vista which i completed at two of my friends houses and mine will not work....i wanna restore it back but it will not restore because the files were change....i do not have the cd that i used to install xp pro but i do have a dell xp home cd if i can get the backup files off there.....if i could get the backup files where would the proper folder be to restore the original xp theme? Any other ideas to get it back to normal XP? thx

Have you tried using the System Restore? I did the same thing,didn't like it and used system restore to set it back to the day before I installed it.

no the system restore did not work and yes its a theme thats modifies the regular files

Can you borrow an XP pro installation disk so that you can carryout a repair/install?
You will need an identical disk to yours ie: if it is XP pro with SP1 or SP2.
A repair/install will not format your harddrive and delete your personal files it simply replaces a lot of the system files, restoring your OS to almost as it was when originally installed.

Did you try "Add/Remove" programs in Control Panel?
I tried it,it only messed things up but I was able to remove it with no trouble.

Yes it's a deal to make XP "look" like Vista. Can't for the life of me undrstand why anyone would want to do it, but you know...
