Taskbar Question and Problem

I have done several installations, and uninstalls of yahoo messenger on my computer. I don't have it installed anymore and won't be using it.

When I click on the taskbar, and properties, and then "customize" it shows a list of current and past "items", or icons. Under the past items is a list of all the yahoo messenger installs I have done, plus some other programs that I no longer use.

Problem: How can I get rid of these in the past items list? How can I delete them?

I appreciate any help.

Thanks you,

John :confused

if you uninstalled it, no need, the icon will never re-appear on your task bar
