Talking trojan horse Generic VUQ problem

A system having win xp-2 and kaspersky 6.0 as antivirus got infected with said virus when ever we open any file it generate a new folder.
When I tried to unstall Antivirus it does not do.Even reg edit and msconfig only blink when i use to run.kindly advice what to do.
