File changes
Windows xp pro
I messed up a few files by changing what opens them. Is there a default setting somewhere on xp that will return all files to normal? Thanks |

Right click on one of the files and select "Open With." Place a check mark in the next screen to "always use" and then select the correct app.

Another, longer method is to open Control Panel>Folder Options(in Classic View)>File Types tab. Find the file type and change the associated program.

I think I did not explain myself good enough
![]() I have at least two or three files that have been changed and I need to set all of the files to a default setting. Is that possible in XP? One file is called .cc and I don't know what oppens that

.cc files -> C++ source code file
Where are you seeing these files and what makes you think you've messed them up? |
