Bios/bootup/shutdown issue
Okay i recently built a computer contain the following:
EVGA 680i sli mobo 4x 1024 corsair ddr2 dual channel ram Nvidia 7950gt Ultra 750 psu Core 2 duo E6600 Lite on Dvd/cd writer reader 2x WD 150 gb Raptor with Microsoft xp that runs smoothly appareantly, but this brings me up to my question when i boot up it turns on single beep and it takes me to bios screen i think it once it checks everythin it says press f1 to continue and del to setup when ipress f1 it starts to windows xp. i was wondering if i can bypass this f1 pressing and when iturn on go straight to windows and when i shutdown (going to start and pres shutdown in windows) it freezes and i have to manually turn it off, so i was wondering what wron as to why it wont shutdown and wont go straight to windows. |

Go into the BIOS and check the boot device order. Set the HD to first boot, this should clear the start up problem.
There is also probably a shutdown option in the BIOS, check to see what is selected. As for the 7F error, could mean different things depending on the BIOS and which version. Check the BIOS makers web site to see if they list your particular error.
