Can someone help me please?
I tried everything i know about computers with no luck,my computer tells me ntdlr is missing. i tried to repare it and write these files like ntdlr and ntdetect.com and nothing happened.keeps telling me the files not found. so i decided to reformat it and loose everything.but when i do reformat it, it finishes the reformat and then goes to xp instalation it finishes almost all the steps like collection information, dynamai update ect...then last step is finalizing instalation at 34% it stops. what should i do? Your hard drive is probably corrupt.
Download the bootable diagnostics for it (I hope its a seagate or WD...), burn it to a disc (you'll need to download an .iso burner, but many are free, don't worry), and then run the diagnostics.

128mb ram is awful light for XP.
You need to test the hard drive and the ram. |

128MB RAM is Prity light for XP but it can still serve. I think the hard disk is corrupt but should have been resolved when reformated. Check the hard disk very well if it has some bad sector try Low-level formating.

Try to install WinXP from a bootable disk on other HDD, if it installs successfully on the other HDD, then it means that there is something wrong with your previous HDD.
or if you still face the same problem with installation of WinXP on new HDD, then there might be a hardware device driver causing such installation problem. NTLDR is an important booting file which must be fine. |

If you're running it on 128 and haven't tried more RAM then you simply don't know what you're missing.
All my customer computers run XP at 512 and above, preferably 1 GB. -K
