XP load problem
Hey all,
I just installed Win XP Pro on a new system and am having problems whenever it restarts. I got it loaded successfully, but then I took out the XP disk and put in the ASUS Support disk to load all the drivers on it. Now, everytime I have to restart it some words flash across the screen - something about bad file in command line and something about config.sys and autobatch file. It will only load windows if I have the XP disk in the drive. Any ideas on what I can install or should I just start over? Thanks. |

Note: I'm currently downloading all Windows Updates, hoping that one of them will solve the problem.

OK, seems the problem is that screen would only appear when the ASUS driver disk was in the drive. Still wish it wouldn't scare me like that, but at least it's no crisis.

Go into the BIOS and change the first boot device from the CD-ROM drive to your main hard drive.
