My friend now tells me that he tried to remove win xp by
formatting drive c. In second guessing his action he shut down computer at 59 per cent of format. He now tells me that instead of having one hdd 19gigs he only only has 11gigs. File system still shows ntfs. He wants to revert back to winme under old file system with one partition only. Any ideas................................ |

If I remember correctly you can delete the non-dos partition with fdisk. But I haven't tested it.

Yes, delete the NON-DOS partition will work, then create a new partition and format.
