I need to possibly reinstall XP on a system where only the MB is being replaced? It crapped out? Will everything load up off the HD or will i have to do a reinstall because of the new MB?
If i do, what potential problems will i run into? Any feedback appreciated!! snoop003 |

XP will probably choke cause it has the wrong chipset drivers...Usually a repair install would fix it...But, the Dell cd will probably Only work if it finds a Dell BIOS which you won't have...

The only way to replace a motherboard in a Dell and avoid buying a new copy of XP is replace it with a Dell motherboard.
