Can't get this one web site to load!!!
Greetings,
Can't get this one web site to load!!! My system is running fine and I have a good connection to the web. I can view web sites streaming video and send & receive email. I am trying to view this one web site (www.LCDStudio.com) and I always get that same msg: Unable to connect, Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.lcdstudio.com. The site is valid I have friends that can go to it with no problems. I've tried Firefox, IE and Opera browsers... no luck. I have Norton Internet Suite and Spyware Doctor running and I've tried the site with both of them disabled? How can I boot XP so that I can get online but not load any of the other stuff? Any ideas on how to get this system to recognize that site? Thanks, Lee

Start/run/ then type msconfig then click ok. click on the startup tab and you can disable progs you dont want to run at startup. You will have to reboot your computer for the changes to take effect.
If you dont want to do it that way you can go here http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml and download this free little program Startup Control Panel and you can control what programs open at startup too. This is very easy to do it. and you can do it within Windows. website worked for me too XP/Firefox

I've tried the F8 Safe mode w/ networking... and stopped all the unnecessary processes, still a no go!.
I can't get that poolservices site either??? Could my ISP be blocking it? Any other Ideas? I need this program LCD Studio to work with my new G15 keyboard. I had my son send me the program, but when launched it need to connect to the web site for the "free license"... Lee |

Sorry... they are the IP addresses of the two websites you cannot access. If you were able to access them using those links I posted, then it would be a problem with your DNS. Since you can't access them using their IP addresses, then I can't help you anymore. I'm sure someone here can though.

If you can't access that site, call your isp provider, they may be blocking it on their end...
