problem accessing USB drive in my computer
I have WinXP Computer with SP2 but when i plug in my Kingston 512 MB USB drive in the USB port of that computer, it detects the USB drive but asks me to install its driver.
I have used this same USB drive in some other WinXP Computers but the computer never asks me for the driver. Can anyone tell me why this specific computer is asking me for the driver of USB drive? does this mean that the USB drivers that WinXP automatically installs has become corrupt or is missing? |

USB Unrecognized

If you have attempted to use a different USB device and the response is the same, then I would conclude that you have somehow lost your driver. |

I havent used different USB drives on the same Winxp machine but if these different USB drives have problem on that machine but doesnot have any problem on other WinXP machine, than it means there is something wrong with the driver database of that WinXP machine not with the USB drive.
What do you think? |
