Failure to get past Windows load screen
I recently built a very nice computer. Everything has been working fine for upwards of a month now. I had a freeze in a game and had to restart by holding down the power button. When I did this and restarted, it will no longer load past the windows loading screen with the progress bar.
Really there was no hardware or software changes made. I tried the recovery console but I really am not sure exactly what to do. I dont really have a problem just formatting and starting over if it must be done. Anyhelp is appreciated. |

Can you boot into Safe-Mode? Access it by tapping the F8 key during BIOS/POST bootup screen?
The freeze in the game could be due to overheating; list spec's and fan situation. |

software issue
I understand its a software issue, the user had problem when the game froze.
He should try system restore. Boot into safe mode. Go to start----> All programs---->Accessories------->System tools----> System restore. A System restore window will appear on the screen, just click on "restore the computer to previous or early state" If System restore doesnot do the job. then format the partition and start the installation all over again. Forgot to ask, what is your computers specification? Your HDD, RAM, CPU. Give info about it. What was the system requirment of the game that you were playing? |
