Question Missing Pagefile

My new XP Pro SP desk-top seems to work OK. Nevertheless I noticed that the Pagefile folder that should be under C:\ is not there. Performhng a search revealed two files:
pagefile.VB_ in c:\I386 having volume of 19KB
pagefileconfig in c:\Windows\System32 having volume of 164KB
I assume that none of those is the Pagefile. Or is it?
Thanks for your support.

The page file is normally hidden.
You'd have to disable the hide system files option under Folder Options.

Thanks, EzyStvy. Did this, no result. Also performed search, including hidden files. Still nothing.
Thanks anyway.

Pagefile.sys is a file, not a folder. If you've unchecked the "Hide protected operating system files" option in Folder Options you should be able to see the pagefile.sys file in the C: directory.

Why are you looking for it anyway?

Like Cricket alluded to, it's not just a hidden file, but a protected operation system file, so you must set that option appropriately to find it.
