sharing internet on Win98
I have WinXP with SP2 and i want to use dial up service on it and also i want to share its internet service with a Win98 computer.
How can i do that? What setings do i have to make on Win98 computer? Do i simply have to assign the IP address of the WinXP machine in the default gateway of Win98 Computer or should i enable "assign IP address dynamically" on Win98 Computer? I simply want to connect both computers directly through cable on there NIC cards without using any connectivity device like router or switch. I hope this is clear Any feed back would be appreciated. |
