Smile Windows Home Server

Hey All,

As those of us who subscribe to the PCMECH Daily Tips and Newsletter know, Micro$oft has sent the Widows Home Server OS to manufacturing. I have looked over the review and installation information and actually downloaded all the .iso's and documentation. It appears to address many of the functions I have long been looking for here with my small home network (3 PC's always and 4 at times). I have been looking at some of the MS Product forum entries and have some questions with many more to probably follow. But, have any of our folks here at the MECH had any experience with the betas or maybe even the RC that is now available for a free download?

Thanks for all comments!!

What does this Home Server do that we can presently do with the networking
that comes with Windows?

If the topic is too complex, can you point me to a link where I can read all
about it?

Thanks.

Having spent some time in the Home Server forums, it seems that the Reviewer's Guide is far from complete. Just for example, it will provide real print server functionality.

I know it's early in the lifecycle, but the price is right!!
