Windows Home Server Install Question
I'm interested in installing the new Home Server software and learning all about it. I have an old p.c. that currently dual boots XP Pro and Ubuntu and I'd like to know if it is possible to install the server software on this machine too. I have two hard drives in this p.c. so would it be possible to install this on my "F" drive rather than "c" drive? If it is possible to install on either drive, which would be preferable?
Thanks for your input

No multiple booting with Home Server. The initial install will wipe the hdd before installing. Adding a second drive later will allow the duplication feature to kick in and create a backup image of your primary drive on the secondary one. You should consider reading all the Read Me files that you download with Home Server. All your questions will be clearly answered there. I've been running WHS since it's first Beta release and it's been working well for me.

Thanks Panama Red. I had a look at the requirements and it seems my old p.c. is lacking in a few ways so I won't be playing with a server after all.
Too bad, as it might've been fun to set it up and get it going.... |
