Angry Fire XP stopping when transfering files

this has been driving me nuts for ages so i thought its about time i asked if there is a way round this

i have a lot of data to move from one pc to another (21GB)
i have been copying files via a crossover cable which still takes a good hour plus

now when XP is happily copying away i walk off and do something , the amount of times that i come back and XP has just stopped at a file that can't be moved about half way thru the job, not right near the end and contuinue to copy the remaining files that are ok..just stop and do nothing like a complete moron!!!

is there a way to stop XP from stopping until it has finished copying everything else and then i can go back and sort the locked or whatever files after its completed the majority of the job??

Try moving smaller sizes. Large transfers and deletes/moves can also appear to stop when they really don't. Your HDD light will tell all. Try and wait it out next time, or as I said, cut down on file size. That is of course if you are adamant about using a crossover.
