Lost password

I lost the password to the only account on my XP machine. I need a way w/o losing data to get in and change the password. If it requires a program I would definetley prefer a free one.

ERD Commander from Winternals was about the easiest tool for doing this but they were bought out by M$ who have renamed it DaRT. You can get a 30 day eval here...

Not sure if the eval is fully functional though. I'd give it a try first and if it doesn;t work then try something like this...

Hope you get it working.

I have used this programme, it's free if you don't mind waiting 48 hours, when I used it I kept checking during the 48 hours period and found more and more of the passwords being revealed during the free version 48 hour wait, sometimes that might be enough even to remind you of the password without waiting.

I've got to close this down folks .. this forum does not support password hacking since we have no way of verifying what's going on.
