Xp file problem
I'm having a problem with Xp locking me out of my picture files. It tells me "no preview" is available. I know the file is there because it shows it in the properties. Also, I had a hard drive crash and had to get a new copy of Xp. This one won't let me load in "safe mode" I press F8 at startup but it only gives me a choice of drives to load from. I thought if I could get into safe mode I would try to take ownership of my pic files. For some reason it goes crazy and locks me out of files I've recently loaded. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I loaded Xp on a brand new hard drive. I loaded my old pic files from a CD from the old drive and they wouldn't open with the new copy of Xp.
