I am tired of wasting hard drive space 160gb is too much for my use of win98, so I need to know
since I am dual boot with loadlin what type of MBR do I have? Compact? or text... think its text that how I setup my autoexe and linux.bat. But I was doing a simulation w/ Ranish Partition Manager and it asks what is the Type of MBR the OS uses? DOS wasn't an options and it said it wasn't recognized. Any who, I need some recommendations for a partition manager that is compatible w/ both ms and linux, would like one that that not only resizes partitions and formats but one that has utility for large hardrives, copying one hard drive to another? And its free...wow! When I say copying I am just talking about maybe 5gb transfer... just getting just finished upgrading the heck out of win98se and spent umpteen sleepless hours installing getting slackware going... but I just realize win98 will be fine on 15gb partition and slackware right alongsiide for 45gb I can use all the free harddrives for lv cd distros and storage. 320 gb that is ridiculous... Ranish partition manager only supports 4 primary partitions and the first 8gb... thats not gd for me. Thanks |
