missing .dll files

I just installed windows xp 64bit on a new build. However when trying to play a game I have I get errors saying I dont have msvcp71.dll Anyone know how to fix this or what would be causing it? If I simply find the file through google or someplace will that end my problems or will another .dll file come up missing that I need?

thanks
