My XP Home machine suddenly cannot keep time. It is always a half hour off. I have set the clock manually and it keeps going back to being a half hour behind. Right now the Windows clock says 10:08 when it's really 10:38. When I try to force it to sync with the "Windows clock server" it says there was a connection error.
My Vista machine keeps time perfectly. The problem on the XP machine started several weeks ago and it is a real mystery to me. Does anyone have any ideas?

If it were the battery, the time would completely reset (date too). Try selecting a different server to sync with or disable the Internet sync altogether.
